Marie Lindquist – Director of the Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC), an organisation of 80+ employees originally set up in 1978 to manage the technical and operational activities of the WHO international pharmacovigilance programme. Our activities have been extended over the years and UMC is now carrying out both scientific and commercial activities.
In my professional role I represent the UMC and WHO in international harmonisation, terminology and classification efforts. I monitor global pharmacovigilance developments, and politics, and develops strategic plans for implementation and follow-up.

• Experienced in management and an accomplished negotiator, with in-depth knowledge of business development, administration and finance
